I visit my Reader place about once or twice a month and then catch up on the blogs. Helps me keep up with my writer friends and Seth Godin who has amazing things to say about marketing, business in general and publishing in particular. I'll be visiting your blog from there.Paul R. I've been told at various times that the Christian fiction market "can't handle" a divorced character, a marriage of convenience, people who speak with Spanish accents, time-travel...

...but murder seems to be fine. I don't get it.

Good post. Got me thinking more deeply about the Lord and how He uses story to touch our hearts.Debhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13100565897627429788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5002099979602526551.post-54783240041551381162010-11-05T07:09:06.406-05:002010-11-05T07:09:06.406-05:00Bravo. Christians are called to be in every place where there are those who need to hear the Word of God, and those places aren't always antiseptic and pure. Jesus dealt with the realities of life and as writers/artists that is our responsibility as well. Story, regardless of its elements, always has the potential to show redemption and the truth of Christ's love. Again, bravo! He told stories to help people understand his message. That's what I do, too. Anyway, if you aren't already a member of Edgy Christian Fiction Lovers, you should join. My dad and uncle used to tease me about my coke-bottle glasses. THey'd laugh and laugh and when I would get upset, my dad would say, "Oh, we were just teasing. Don't be so sensitive."

*raises eyebrows* Now, don't think TOO bad about him, at the heart we are a VERY sarcastic family. I love my daddy.. but:-)

LOVE that you encouraged that girl! I was at Hardees one time and this customer ripped a girl to shreds for poor service, when it was really the girls manager who was being a butthead. The customer stopped yelling and left, but I could tell the girl was shaking and in tears. When she handed me my food, I bent over the counter and looked her in the eye, and told her that she did a marvelous job and thanked her. She smiled and I could just see her take this deep sigh. It made me realize that little things can really help, and I thought about all the times I've been a butt when I got bad service. I try to be much kinder now:-)Krista Phillipshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10772828583379163612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5002099979602526551.post-47697447252890118392009-05-19T20:13:49.064-05:002009-05-19T20:13:49.064-05:00Very cool Paul!
