I've been told at various times that the Christian fiction market "can't handle" a divorced character, a marriage of convenience, people who speak with Spanish accents, time-travel...

...but murder seems to be fine. Christians are called to be in every place where there are those who need to hear the Word of God, and those places aren't always antiseptic and pure. Jesus dealt with the realities of life and as writers/artists that is our responsibility as well. Story, regardless of its elements, always has the potential to show redemption and the truth of Christ's love. Again, bravo! He told stories to help people understand his message. That's what I do, too. Anyway, if you aren't already a member of Edgy Christian Fiction Lovers, you should join.
